The S6 e-tron’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The EV6 doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The Audi S6 e-tron has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The EV6 doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

The S6 e-tron has a standard Secondary Collision Brake Assist, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The EV6 doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the S6 e-tron. But it costs extra on the EV6.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The S6 e-tron has Car-to-X Services, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The EV6 doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

The Audi S6 e-tron offers an optional Top View Cameras and it also offers an optional rear camera washer to make backing always safe, regardless of road dirt or grime, while the Kia EV6 doesn’t offer a camera washer, requiring manual cleaning.

Both the S6 e-tron and the EV6 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The S6 e-tron’s corrosion warranty is 7 years and unlimited miles longer than the EV6’s (12/unlimited vs. 5/100,000).

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ March 2025 Auto Issue reports that Audi vehicles are more reliable than Kia vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Audi 2 places higher in reliability than Kia.

The S6 e-tron’s electric motors produces 376 more horsepower (543 vs. 167) than the EV6 Light Short Range’s standard electric motor. The S6 e-tron’s electric motors produces 318 more horsepower (543 vs. 225) than the EV6 Long Range’s standard electric motor. The S6 e-tron’s electric motors produces 223 more horsepower (543 vs. 320) than the EV6 Long Range’s optional electric motors.

The S6 e-tron can travel longer on a full charge than the EV6 on a full charge:

The S6 e-tron’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The EV6 doesn’t offer launch control.

For better stopping power the S6 e-tron’s brake rotors are larger than those on the EV6:

The S6 e-tron’s standard front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs standard on the EV6 are solid, not vented.

For better traction and acceleration, the S6 e-tron has larger standard rear tires than the EV6 (265/40R20 vs. 235/55R19). The S6 e-tron’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the EV6 (275/35R21 vs. 255/45R20).

The S6 e-tron’s standard 235/45R20 front and 265/40R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series front and 40 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the EV6’s standard 55 series tires. The S6 e-tron’s optional 275/35R21 rear tires have a lower 35 series profile than the EV6 GT’s 40 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the S6 e-tron has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the EV6.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the S6 e-tron can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The EV6 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The front and rear suspension of the S6 e-tron uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the EV6, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The S6 e-tron has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The S6 e-tron’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The EV6 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the S6 e-tron’s wheelbase is 1.9 inches longer than on the EV6 (116.1 inches vs. 114.2 inches).

The S6 e-tron has .4 inches more front shoulder room and 1.7 inches more rear shoulder room than the EV6.

The S6 e-tron has a much larger cargo volume than the EV6 with its rear seat up (26 vs. 24.4 cubic feet).

A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the S6 e-tron. The EV6 doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The S6 e-tron’s front and rear power windows all open or close fully with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside the car. The EV6’s standard passenger windows don’t open or close automatically. With the EV6 GT-Line/GT’s power windows, only the front windows open or close automatically.

If the windows are left open on the S6 e-tron the driver can close them all at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the EV6 can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The S6 e-tron Premium Plus/Prestige has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The EV6 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the S6 e-tron has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The EV6 doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The S6 e-tron’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The EV6 has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

The Audi S6 e-tron has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the rear view mirror. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Kia charges extra for Homelink® on the EV6.
